About the Center

The staff of the College of Charleston Career Center bring diverse professional backgrounds and skills to the College. Career Counselors assist students throughout their college career, from self-exploration to gaining experience, to the full-time job or graduate school search. Our Employer Relations Manager meets with employers in a wide variety of fields and connects them to students through on-campus recruiting, career fairs, and listings on Handshake. The Student Employment team ensures that students are able to gain employment on campus by conducting orientations for new student employees, ensuring that the proper paperwork is complete, and providing opportunities to find on-campus jobs through Handshake.


The mission of the Career Center is to educate, develop and assist students to prepare for and successfully meet the challenges of an ever-changing world of work. This mission is accomplished through a centralized and comprehensive Center serving the entire campus and meeting the career and educational needs of all students from entering freshmen through graduate students and alumni. 


The Career Center at the College of Charleston will be an internationally recognized central campus nucleus for student career development. The Center staff will provide a transformative experience to meet the needs of all partners including alumni, employment recruiters, faculty, staff and community constituents.
