Career Fair Policy and Initial Information for Recruiters: Spring 2010

Thank you for your interest in participating in the College of Charleston Spring 2010 Career Fair. This information is for general planning purposes only: pre-registration is REQUIRED for organizations to attend this event. Registration will not be open until early December.

To request an invitation to register, please refer to the following information and email Linda Robinson at RobinsonL@cofc.edu. Please include the following information: name of company, your contact information, types of positions for which you are recruiting.

Please note that the Career Center reserves the right to review all requests to participate and considers the fit with our students' career interests.

Background Information:

  • The College of Charleston Spring Career Fair is open to students of the College of Charleston and The Citadel. Alumni from both colleges are also invited to attend. This event is not open to the public.
  • This event is designed for you to discuss your full-time, internship, summer and part-time positions with, and collect resumes from, students and alumni (as appropriate) who have an interest in your organization; increase student interest in your campus interview schedules and job opportunities; and promote the graduate school programs of the College of Charleston and The Citadel to prospective students.

Registration Information:

  • Registration is REQUIRED to reserve a space and is accepted through the specified deadline (2/3/10) OR when the capacity limit is reached (whichever comes first). Registration will not be open until early December.
  • Please plan to select either the Standard Registration package at $300 or the Non-Profit and Government Agency Registration package at $125, as appropriate to your organization.
  • DO NOT SEND PAYMENT until you have completed our online Registration form and received confirmation that your registration form was received. Payment is expected by the day of the Fair (2/24/10).
  • The registration fee covers: attendance at the fair up to a maximum of 4 representatives, publicity on our two campuses; a light lunch with beverages for each registered representative; one 8' table with a white tablecloth; chairs; and parking in a municipal garage for up to 2 vehicles.
  • Electrical access is available for a $25 fee and must be requested when you complete your registration form online. Please bring your own extension cords and equipment if you request electrical access.
  • Internet access (Wireless or Ethernet) is not available at the fair venue.
  • Registration for the career fair is not available to third party recruiters, staffing agencies, or business opportunities (requiring a financial investment).
